Deadline November 10th To Receive Ballots For City Of Gainesville Annexation Election

The deadline to cast a ballot for the November 10th City of Gainesville Annexation Election is Tuesday, November 10th. Ballots must be received by the Supervisor of Elections no later than 7:00 PM.

As a reminder, this is a mail ballot election and voters must remember to sign the back of their certificate envelope. All signatures will be compared to the voter’s signature on file with the Supervisor of Elections Office.

The Supervisor of Elections Office will be open Tuesday, November 10th from 7:00 AM until 7:00 PM to receive ballots. Any time prior to the deadline, voters may drop their ballot in the drop box provided at the front door of the Supervisor of Elections Office located at 111 S.E. 1st Avenue.

SCHEDULE
November 6, 2009 - 1:30 PM
Test all equipment to be used and begin processing mail ballots.

November 10, 2009 - 5:00 PM
Process mail ballots, canvass returns, and release Unofficial Results after 7:00 PM.

November 13, 2009 - 9:00 AM
Certify Official Results and perform post election manual equipment audit.

BALLOT TABULATION
Results will not be tabulated until after 7:00 PM on Election Day.
