Early and Absentee Voting
And Audio Sample Ballot

Early voting for the March 7, 2006 City of Gainesville Election will be available starting Monday, February 27, 2006 on the 1st Floor of the County Administration Building located at 12 S. E. 1st Street in the Supervisor of Elections Office. City of Gainesville voters may cast a ballot from 9:00a.m - 5:00p.m. weekdays, through Friday, March 3, 2006. Weekend early voting will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2006 from 9:00a.m. -1:00p.m. and Sunday, March 5, 2006 from 1:00p.m. – 5:00p.m.

Please note the new accessible audio-enhanced voting equipment will be available for use by those voters who are visually impaired or blind, and voters with other special needs.

To request an absentee ballot to be mailed, call the Supervisor of Elections Office at (352)374-5252. A request for an absentee ballot to be mailed to a voter must be received no later than 5 p.m. on the sixth day before the election (F.S. 101.62). All absentee ballots must be in the Supervisor of Elections Office by 7:00p.m. on Election Day.
